Women’s Justice Circles
The voices of women who are low-income and/or immigrants, women living in crisis and those on the margins are typically not included in organizing for change in a way that meets their needs. The Intercommunity Peace & Justice Center facilitates Justice for Women, which empowers women who are low-income to address the underlying causes of poverty by forming Women’s Justice Circles. To date, we have coordinated over 300 Circles!

I will carry away with me a sense of feminine connection, openness, acceptance, and most importantly, awareness.
I love that our Circle pinpoints the specific needs and issues of us women in transition; gives us a voice to express our thoughts; and boots our courage to take action.

It has taken me thirty years to speak up. The emotional scars are still there but someone has to speak up for survivors to have a better recovery process. I was mute but now my turn has come.
